When the American Revolution ended Jones fell out with the Continental Congress. He went to Europe and joined the Russian Navy in the service of Catherin the Great. Eventually retiring and moving to Paris, France. He died in Paris and was interred there until President Teddy Roosevelt sent an American Fleet to recover his remains and bring them back to The USA. His remains now rest in Annapolis, USA.

What isn't mentioned is the boats were being fueled for free. Mechanics for any repairs needed. On the other side, the people with dust on them were met with help to wash off, clean clothes, medical aid, etc.

The problem for the British was taking fire from long rifles sittin on cotton bales on a laid out killing field. The fire the brave British took was accurate and concentrated. Their return fire was ineffective. It was over in a few minutes. Who was in charge of the English forces who blundered into this set up?

I feel like you got the incomplete version of this song. Theres a longer version thats actually a mashup of two WWI era songs titles Over There! Hello France!, that includes a couple of extra verses before and after the main part of Over There! Its a great song that i highly recommend!

OK this was a couple years ago. Can you please react to something else? Holly had 4 Number 1's "Love Someone Like Me", "Only When I Love", "Are You Ever Gonna Love Me?, and "You Really Had Me Going". She should have had many more, but was basically Blacklisted from Country Radio before the end of 1991. Interestingly, none of her Number 1's would be my first choices for you to feature here. I'd prefer some Top 10's like "Why Wyoming", "Strangers Again", "It's Always Gonna Be Someday", "What You Love Does Too Me" There Goes My Heart Again" or her Duet's "Maybe" with Kenny Rogers, and "A Face In The Crowd" with Michael Martin Murphy which was huge Top 5 song in 1987. Or how about some lesser known stuff like "No One Takes The Train Anymore" that should have been a Number 1 hit? Some of my personal favorite songs of Holly's are "Lonesome Highway", "On The Wings of An Angel", "Just Across The Rio Grande", "There's No Heart So Strong", "Sometime Today", "The Stronger The Tie", "Old Love In New Mexico", "Temporary Loss Of Memory", "Let Go", I Laughed Until I Cried".
